The Best Lobster Roll (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 lb cooked lobster meat (or 2-3 medium lobsters)
02 - 2-3 tablespoons mayonnaise
03 - 1 celery rib, finely diced (optional)
04 - 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
05 - 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
06 - 1 tablespoon chives
07 - 1 dash hot sauce
08 - 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
09 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

→ For Assembly

10 - 4 tablespoons butter
11 - 4 New England-style split top buns
12 - Lettuce leaves (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Drain and pat dry lobster meat. Cut into chunky pieces if needed.
02 - Mix celery, mayo, lemon zest and juice, chives, hot sauce, salt and pepper in bowl.
03 - Warm lobster in half the butter, about 2 minutes. Remove with slotted spoon and toss with dressing.
04 - Brush buns with remaining butter and toast in pan until golden.
05 - Add lettuce if using, fill with lobster mixture, top with chives.

# Notes:

01 - Can use frozen or fresh lobster meat
02 - Can make salad mixture one day ahead
03 - Can omit mayo for butter-only version
