Sweet Chili Ground Beef Brussels (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main components

01 - 450 grams lean ground beef
02 - 1/3 cup (35 grams) green onions, thinly sliced
03 - 1 pound (450 grams) brussels sprouts, shredded

→ Seasonings and sauces

04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - Kosher salt, to taste
06 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
07 - 2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
08 - 1 teaspoon sriracha (optional)
09 - 1 tablespoon avocado oil
10 - 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) sweet chili sauce
11 - Juice of 1/2 lime
12 - Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Place ground beef into a large skillet over medium heat and break it apart. Add green onions, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, sriracha, and soy sauce. Cook, stirring, until beef is fully browned. Remove mixture to a plate.
02 - Heat avocado oil in the same skillet. Add shredded brussels sprouts, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté until softened and caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
03 - Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet. Add sweet chili sauce and lime juice, stirring until everything is evenly coated and heated through.
04 - Sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving. Serve hot, optionally over steamed rice or your preferred grain.

# Notes:

01 - For enhanced flavor, allow the brussels sprouts to caramelize deeply before combining with the beef.
