Classic Pimento Cheese Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups freshly grated extra-sharp cheddar cheese.
02 - 8 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed.
03 - 4 ounces pimento peppers, drained and chopped.
04 - 2 tablespoons mayonnaise.
05 - 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.
06 - 1/4 teaspoon onion powder.
07 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper.
08 - 1/2 jalapeƱo, minced (about 1 tablespoon).
09 - Black pepper to taste.
10 - Salt to taste.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix cheddar, cream cheese, pimentos, mayo, and seasonings in large bowl.
02 - Beat with mixer or by hand until thoroughly combined.
03 - Taste and add salt, pepper, or cayenne as needed. Mix again.
04 - Transfer to serving bowl. Serve immediately or chill up to 1 week.

01 - Softens in 30 minutes at room temp.
02 - Can substitute roasted red peppers.
03 - Keeps 1 week refrigerated.
