Simple Lemon Caper Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
04 - 60 millilitres dry white wine or chicken broth
05 - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
06 - 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed and drained
07 - 1 teaspoon lemon zest
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Garnish

10 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium skillet over medium heat, combine unsalted butter and olive oil. Allow butter to melt and begin bubbling.
02 - Add minced garlic to the pan. Sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until aromatic but not browned.
03 - Pour in dry white wine or chicken broth. Stir and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, allowing alcohol to evaporate or broth to reduce slightly.
04 - Stir in fresh lemon juice, capers, and lemon zest. Season with salt and black pepper. Continue to cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
05 - Remove skillet from heat and stir in chopped fresh parsley if using. Drizzle sauce over desired protein, pasta, or vegetables while warm.

# Notes:

01 - For a thicker consistency, extend simmering time to further reduce the sauce.
02 - Pairs exceptionally well with roasted or grilled vegetables, such as asparagus or broccoli.
