Melt the butter and set aside to cool. Spray a 4.75 x 12.25-inch Rehrucken pan liberally with Baker's Joy. Sprinkle the almonds in the bottom of the pan.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk the sugar, egg, almond extract, and half & half cream. Add the dry ingredients and whisk until there are no streaks of flour.

Add the melted butter and whisk until smooth.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40-50 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

Let the cake cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then carefully invert it onto a wire rack. Serve warm or at room temperature. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
