Miso Butter Grilled Rice Balls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Onigiri

01 - 2 cups uncooked short grain rice
02 - 2 cups water

→ Miso Flavour

03 - 1 tbsp miso
04 - 2 tsp mirin
05 - 2 tsp sake
06 - 2 tsp sugar
07 - 1.5 tbsp butter
08 - 1 tsp finely chopped chive
09 - 1 tsp sesame seeds

→ Soy Sauce Flavour

10 - 1.5 tbsp vegetable oil
11 - 1 tbsp soy sauce
12 - 1.5 tbsp everything bagel seasoning
13 - 1.5 tbsp butter

# Instructions:

01 - Follow your rice cooker instructions to cook the rice.
02 - Combine miso, mirin, sake, sugar, and mix well.
03 - Divide cooked rice into 6 equal portions and shape into triangles using cling wrap.
04 - Heat skillet over medium heat, add butter, and grill onigiri for 1 minute per side. Brush miso paste on each side and continue grilling until crispy. Garnish with chives and sesame seeds.
05 - Heat skillet over medium heat with vegetable oil and grill onigiri for 1 minute per side. Brush soy sauce on each side as you flip multiple times until crispy. Top with butter and garnish with rice seasonings.

# Notes:

01 - Shape the cooked rice while it is still warm for easier handling.
02 - Shape the rice balls firmly to prevent them from breaking during grilling.
03 - Take caution when grilling with miso paste, as the sugar content may cause burning.
