Homemade Bubble Gum Candy (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Mixture

01 - 75 grams gum base
02 - 60 millilitres corn syrup

→ Sweetening & Flavoring

03 - 24 grams powdered sugar
04 - 24 grams gum powder
05 - 0.5 grams citric acid
06 - Food coloring as preferred
07 - Flavoring oil as desired

# Instructions:

01 - Place gum base in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted.
02 - Add corn syrup to the melted gum base and mix until homogeneous.
03 - Stir in food coloring and flavoring oil until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
04 - Gradually work the powdered sugar into the mixture until a pliable but no longer sticky dough forms.
05 - Divide and form the gum into balls or strips. For a sour variation, incorporate the citric acid at this stage.
06 - Allow the shaped gum to rest for 30 minutes at room temperature until it firms up.
