Healthy Hashbrown Chaffle (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups grated hash browns, thawed (frozen or chilled)
02 - 1/4 cup grated cheese
03 - 1 teaspoon flavored salt

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the waffle iron. If it has a heat setting, select medium-high heat for a crispy finish.
02 - In a large bowl, mix the thawed shredded hash browns, grated cheese, and seasoned salt thoroughly to evenly distribute the cheese and seasoning.
03 - Spray or brush the waffle iron with pan release to prevent sticking.
04 - Place about 1 cup of the hash brown mixture onto the waffle iron. Close the waffle iron completely and cook until browned and crisp. Steam generation is normal during cooking.
05 - Serve the waffles immediately for the best texture. If not serving right away, cool them on a wire rack to prevent sogginess.

# Notes:

01 - Cooking will generate noticeable steam, which is completely normal.
02 - Cool the waffles on a wire rack if not eating immediately to retain crispiness.
