# Ingredients:

→ Hamburger Steaks

01 - 1 ⅓ lb ground beef
02 - 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
03 - 1 yellow onion, grated
04 - 1 tsp salt
05 - 1 tsp black pepper
06 - 2 tbsp heavy cream
07 - 1 egg

→ Creamy Dill Sauce

08 - 1 tbsp olive oil
09 - 1 tbsp unsalted butter
10 - 1 yellow onion, diced
11 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
12 - 1 tsp salt
13 - 1 tsp black pepper
14 - 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
15 - ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth
16 - 1 cup heavy cream
17 - 2 tbsp chopped dill, more for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Grate the onion into a large bowl. Add ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, cream, and egg. Mix until combined. Divide mixture into 4 portions and shape into ¾ inch (2 cm) thick patties. Set aside.
02 - Finely chop the onion, mince the garlic, and chop the dill.
03 - Heat olive oil and butter over medium in a large skillet. Cook hamburger steaks for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to a clean plate.
04 - Reduce skillet heat to low. Add garlic and onion, cooking until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir in salt, pepper, and flour until incorporated. Add chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes, scraping the skillet bottom.
05 - Add heavy cream and dill to the skillet. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Return hamburger steaks to the skillet and simmer for 5-6 minutes, ensuring they are heated through. Garnish with dill and freshly ground pepper.

# Notes:

01 - Serve with mashed potatoes for a comforting meal.
