# Ingredients:

→ For the octopus

01 - 1 whole octopus, fresh or frozen, cleaned
02 - Salt, to taste

→ For the marinade

03 - 3 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 2 tablespoons lemon juice
06 - Salt, to taste
07 - Black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Thoroughly rinse the octopus under cold running water, ensuring any remaining ink or sand is removed from the body cavity.
02 - Boil or simmer the octopus in salted water for approximately 30 minutes until fork-tender. Check doneness by piercing it with a fork.
03 - Combine olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to create a marinade. Place the cooked octopus in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow flavors to develop.
04 - Preheat the grill to high heat before grilling.
05 - Grill the marinated octopus for 3-4 minutes per side until charred and crispy. Avoid overcooking to prevent the octopus from becoming tough or rubbery.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure the octopus is fork-tender before marinating to achieve ideal texture and flavor.
02 - Allowing the octopus to marinate overnight enhances the dish's flavor profile.
