Garlic Dill Cucumbers (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 large cucumbers, cut into spears
02 - 1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
03 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
04 - 2-3 cloves garlic, crushed
05 - 3 tablespoons fresh dill, minced

# Instructions:

01 - Wash and cut cucumbers into spears. Crush the garlic cloves and finely mince the fresh dill.
02 - Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl or a ziplock bag. Toss well to ensure the cucumbers are evenly coated with the seasonings.
03 - Place the cucumbers in the refrigerator, covered, for 15-30 minutes, up to a few hours. The longer the cucumbers will be in the refrigerator the softer they will become.
04 - Serve cold as a refreshing side dish with grilled meats, seafood, sandwiches, or roasted potatoes.

# Notes:

01 - For the best flavor and texture balance, marinate the cucumbers for about 30 minutes.
02 - English or Persian cucumbers work particularly well for this recipe as they have fewer seeds and thinner skin.
03 - For a tangy variation, add a splash of white vinegar or fresh lemon juice.
04 - This dish is best enjoyed the day it's made for maximum crispness.
