Wash and cut cucumbers into spears. Crush the garlic cloves and finely mince the fresh dill.

Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl or a ziplock bag. Toss well to ensure the cucumbers are evenly coated with the seasonings.

Place the cucumbers in the refrigerator, covered, for 15-30 minutes, up to a few hours. The longer the cucumbers will be in the refrigerator the softer they will become.

Serve cold as a refreshing side dish with grilled meats, seafood, sandwiches, or roasted potatoes.
