# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 225 grams unsalted French butter, softened
02 - 150 grams granulated sugar
03 - 1 large egg
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 250 grams all-purpose flour
06 - 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
07 - 1 teaspoon sea salt or fleur de sel

08 - Additional sea salt for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar using a mixer or wooden spoon until light and fluffy.
03 - Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and sea salt.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until a uniform dough forms.
06 - Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes to ensure cookies hold their shape during baking.
07 - Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of chilled dough and roll into balls. Place on prepared baking sheets, spacing each approximately 5 cm apart.
08 - Sprinkle a small pinch of sea salt over each dough ball before baking.
09 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden and centres remain tender.
10 - Let cookies cool on the baking trays for several minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
11 - Serve once cooled. Enjoy with coffee or tea.
