Firecracker Ground Beef Dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 tablespoon olive oil or chili oil
02 - 1 pound extra lean ground beef
03 - 1/2 cup (96g) dark brown sugar
04 - 1/4 cup (60g) buffalo sauce
05 - 2 tablespoons (30g) rice vinegar
06 - 1 teaspoon ground ginger
07 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
08 - 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
09 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
10 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the sauce ingredients together and set aside.
02 - Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and brown both sides of the ground beef for 1-2 minutes per side. Break apart and fully cook.
03 - Pour the sauce over the cooked ground beef and stir. Leave untouched for 30-60 seconds until the sauce begins to caramelize on the bottom of the pan. Stir and continue until the beef is coated in the sauce and crispy bits appear.
04 - Serve over rice or noodles with scallions and toasted sesame seeds.
