Citrus-Spiced Baby Octopus Broccolini (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 500 g baby octopus, cleaned

→ Vegetables

02 - 300 g broccolini, trimmed

→ Aromatics

03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1 teaspoon ginger, minced

05 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
06 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce
07 - 1 tablespoon sesame oil

→ Citrus

08 - Zest from 1 orange
09 - Fresh orange juice from 1 orange

→ Seasonings and Garnish

10 - 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
11 - Chilli flakes, to taste
12 - Fresh herbs for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - In a bowl, combine soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and orange zest. Add baby octopus and mix thoroughly. Drizzle with sesame oil, ensuring even coating. Set aside to marinate for 20 minutes.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add broccolini and sauté for 3-4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, toss, and transfer to a plate.
03 - Increase pan heat to high. Place marinated octopus in the pan and sear for 2-3 minutes, turning until just cooked through. Season with chilli flakes and finish with a squeeze of fresh orange juice.
04 - Toss seared octopus and sautéed broccolini together. Drizzle with pan juices and any remaining citrus dressing. Garnish with freshly chopped herbs before serving.
