Cinnamon Sugar Pretzel Sticks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pretzel Preparation

01 - 340 g thick pretzel sticks

→ Coating Mixture

02 - 115 g unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
03 - 1 egg white
04 - 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

→ Cinnamon Sugar Mixture

05 - 200 g granulated sugar
06 - 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Melt butter over gentle heat or in a microwave on medium/low. Allow to cool slightly. Separate the egg, reserving the white, and whisk egg white with vanilla extract into cooled butter. Set aside.
03 - In a separate bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon until homogenous.
04 - Place pretzel sticks in a large resealable bag. Pour the butter mixture over the pretzels. Gently shake and mix to ensure even coverage, taking care not to break the sticks.
05 - Add cinnamon sugar mixture to the bag. Shake gently until all pretzels are evenly coated.
06 - Transfer coated pretzels onto the prepared baking sheet, arranging in a single, even layer. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring once at the midpoint for uniform crispness.
07 - Remove from oven and stir immediately to prevent sticking. Allow pretzels to cool completely before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Cool the melted butter slightly before combining with egg white to prevent curdling.
02 - Shake pretzels gently when coating to preserve their shape and avoid breakage.
03 - Adjust cinnamon and sugar ratios for a spicier or sweeter finish according to taste.
04 - Store cooled pretzel sticks in an airtight container for up to seven days to preserve freshness.
05 - Serve with cream cheese frosting or caramel sauce for an indulgent snack.
