Steep tea bags or loose leaf tea in 1 litre of boiled water for 3 to 5 minutes. If using green tea, use water just below boiling. Remove tea bags or strain loose leaves and cool tea to room temperature.

In a small bowl, combine blueberries, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Gently mash berries with a fork or muddler to extract juices.

Stir honey or sugar into the warm tea until fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness to preference.

Add the blueberry-lemon mixture to the cooled tea. Stir thoroughly to combine. Refrigerate until well chilled or proceed to the next step if serving immediately.

Fill glasses with ice. Pour chilled blueberry tea lemonade over the ice. Garnish with mint leaves, lemon slices, and extra blueberries as desired.
