Quick Air Fryer Cinnamon Apples (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 2 large apples
02 - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
03 - 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
04 - 2 teaspoons oil or butter (optional, omit for fat-free version)

# Instructions:

01 - Gather all ingredients. Grease the air fryer tray or basket, or line it with special air fryer liners if you have them. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
02 - Peel the apples if desired (this is optional - leaving the skin on adds nutrition and color). Core the apples and discard the seeds. Chop the apples into small squares, sticks, or thin slices depending on your preference.
03 - Place the chopped apples in a bowl. Add the cinnamon and maple syrup (or your sweetener of choice). If using, add the melted butter or oil. Toss everything together until the apples are evenly coated with the seasonings.
04 - Arrange the seasoned apples in a single layer on the greased air fryer tray or basket. Try not to overcrowd them - if your air fryer is small, it's better to cook the apples in two batches so they can caramelize properly.
05 - Air fry the apples at 400°F for 7 minutes. The apples will begin to soften and the seasonings will start to caramelize.
06 - Open the air fryer and gently shake the basket or use tongs to turn the apples so they cook evenly on all sides. Return to the air fryer for an additional 8 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of tenderness and caramelization.
07 - Carefully remove the hot apples from the air fryer. They're delicious served warm on their own, or as a topping for ice cream, yogurt, oatmeal, or pancakes.

# Notes:

01 - These air fryer apples are delicious served with coconut ice cream.
02 - Choose firm apple varieties like Honeycrisp, Gala, or Granny Smith for best results.
03 - Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model and how thick you cut the apples.
